Great results

A dental bridge allows you to replace missing teeth and restores your smile.

Missing teeth can damage your confidence and impact your oral health. With a dental bridge, you can conceal a gap in your smile and restore your confidence again. With a dental bridge in place, your bite is restored and the surrounding teeth will no longer be able to shift out of alignment. With the right care, your dental bridge could last for up to 10 years or longer.

Benefits of Dental Bridges

Hide Gaps In Your Smile
Maintain Your Bite
Prevent Teeth Shifting
Long Lasting Restoration

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is an artificial tooth that is bonded to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. This helps to restore your bite, maintain teeth spacing, and conceal any gaps in your smile. If you have lost a tooth due to decay or trauma, a bridge can help to restore your smile and boost your confidence. A bridge will also help to protect your overall oral health by maintaining your bite.

There are two main types of dental bridges. The first attaches to the two surrounding teeth using crowns. This procedure will require the surrounding teeth to be prepared by removing some of the enamel and can be helpful if the surrounding teeth are also damaged. If the surrounding teeth are healthy, you could also opt for an adhesive bridge that is bonded to the surrounding teeth using small wings on the inner surface of the supporting teeth.

The Solution
Why might I need a dental bridge?

Dental Implants Blackheath and Dudley

A dental bridge is an effective way to address gaps in your smile and is commonly used after an extraction. The dental bridge provides support to the surrounding and opposite teeth, ensuring that you can still bite and chew your food properly. It can also help to maintain your facial structure, which may be affected by missing teeth. And finally, it can help to restore your confidence if you feel self-conscious about gaps in your smile.

This is a permanent solution for missing teeth, but it’s worth noting that the bridge may need to be replaced or repaired at some point. Bridges are commonly made from porcelain, which looks and feels very similar to your natural tooth material. If you choose not to have a dental bridge, the alternatives would include a partial denture or a dental implant.
